Job Summary
Valley Vital Care is seeking a highly analytical and technically strong Data/Financial Analyst to join our finance team. This role is critical to our financial planning, reporting, and decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will have exceptional Excel expertise and be capable of handling and synthesizing large datasets from multiple sources into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform in-depth financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
- Build and manage complex Excel models using advanced formulas, queries, and linked data structures.
- Clean, organize, and integrate large volumes of data from various internal and external sources to produce meaningful summaries.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor KPIs and financial performance.
- Analyze financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Support budgeting and variance analysis; identify trends and business performance drivers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide timely and accurate financial insights.
- Support senior management with ad hoc analyses, strategic projects, and business case development.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies and external standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to increase financial reporting and planning efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or corporate finance.
- Advanced Excel proficiency is required: Must be fluent in building complex models, formulas, pivot tables, queries, and integrating large data sets.
- Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
- Familiarity with financial systems such as Sage Intacct or other ERPs is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills with keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize in a fast-paced, remote environment.
