Unlike traditional product marketing roles focused mainly on launches and content creation, this position serves as a key business partner to Product and Commercial leadership, shaping the strategy, commercialization, and growth of our Identity offerings.
The Principal Product Marketer will develop and evangelize a comprehensive point of view on Identity as a foundational capability within LiveRamp’s platform and the broader advertising and marketing ecosystem. Responsibilities include owning the go-to-market strategy, influencing product roadmaps, engaging with customers and partners, and driving commercialization efforts through the entire product lifecycle. This role demands a blend of technical expertise, strategic insight, and customer engagement to translate complex technology into clear business value and growth opportunities.
Qualifications
- Significant experience at the intersection of technology, product, customers, and commercial strategy through roles such as product marketing, product management, solutions consulting, sales engineering, or product strategy.
- Deep knowledge of adtech, martech, or data-driven marketing, especially related to Identity and its role in the advertising and marketing ecosystem.
- Technical curiosity and ability to understand complex products, establishing credibility with technical teams and customers.
- Experience engaging directly with enterprise customers and navigating both technical and executive-level conversations.
- Strong understanding of the commercialization lifecycle, including market demand, product-market fit, adoption, and growth.
- Proven ability to leverage market intelligence, customer insights, competitive analysis, and commercial data to influence strategy and decision-making.
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage ambiguity, prioritize initiatives, and drive cross-functional projects forward.
- Executive presence and strategic judgment to partner with senior leaders and build alignment without direct authority.
- Comfortable acting as a visible subject matter expert and evangelist for Identity solutions.
- Preferred: Expertise in identity resolution, identity infrastructure, or related adtech/martech capabilities.
- Preferred: Experience in customer-facing technical roles such as solutions consulting, sales engineering, or solution architecture.
- Preferred: Proven track record in taking complex technology from early stages through launch, adoption, and scale.
- Preferred: Experience partnering with enterprise sales organizations on strategic commercialization programs.
- Preferred: Skilled in using pipeline, revenue, adoption, and customer data to evaluate performance.
- Preferred: Experience developing executive-level narratives and presenting to senior audiences.
- Preferred: Experience working across global, highly cross-functional teams.
- Own the go-to-market strategy for the Identity portfolio, defining market opportunities, target customers, value propositions, commercial models, and growth pathways.
- Act as a senior strategic partner to Product leaders and executives by integrating customer insights, market dynamics, competitive intelligence, and commercial performance into product strategy and roadmap decisions.
- Develop deep technical and market expertise on LiveRamp’s Identity and data collaboration capabilities and the broader adtech/martech ecosystem.
- Translate complex technology into clear customer value propositions and adoption requirements.
- Define and evangelize the role and value of Identity internally and externally, building understanding across the platform, customers, partners, and industry.
- Engage directly with customers, prospects, partners, and industry leaders as an Identity expert to support discovery, strategic conversations, early adoption, and commercial opportunities.
- Manage commercialization activities across the Identity product lifecycle, including market demand, product-market fit, launch, adoption, scale, and optimization.
- Collaborate with Industry Teams, Sales, Customer Success, Enablement, and other commercial teams to analyze pipeline, bookings, adoption, usage, and customer feedback, translating insights into actionable initiatives.
- Establish commercialization goals and success metrics encompassing market readiness, pipeline, revenue, adoption, customer value, and demand.
- Diagnose underperformance issues and coordinate cross-functional teams to improve outcomes.
- Shape Identity positioning, messaging, packaging, competitive strategy, sales plays, enablement materials, and proof points with a focus on commercial impact.
- Lead early adopter and launch programs by defining target customers, success criteria, feedback mechanisms, and scaling evidence.
- Influence senior leaders across Product, Commercial, Marketing, and other functions to create alignment and momentum without direct authority.
- Serve as a visible thought leader representing LiveRamp’s Identity point of view externally to customers, partners, and industry forums.
- Competitive annual base compensation range from $159,000 to $234,000, with total compensation reflecting experience, skills, location, and internal equity.
- Remote work flexibility supporting work-life balance.
- Opportunity to work at a leading company shaping the future of data collaboration and AI-driven marketing.
- Engagement with cutting-edge identity and data collaboration technologies within a global, cross-functional environment.
