Our client is looking for a part-time Senior Educational Marketing Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of education-focused marketing initiatives, ensuring projects align with organizational strategy, processes, and resource capacity. This role will partner closely with marketing and education teams to drive operational excellence, mitigate risk, and support successful campaign execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee a portfolio of educational marketing projects, ensuring alignment with established processes and strategic priorities.
- Develop and maintain project management standards, workflows, and best practices.
- Monitor budgets, timelines, resource allocation, and overall project capacity.
- Identify and mitigate risks across interrelated projects.
- Facilitate cross-functional communication and provide clear updates to stakeholders and leadership.
- Advise project teams on project management frameworks, tools, and workflow optimization.
- Mentor junior project managers on best practices, strategic thinking, and leadership skills.
- Provide quality control and guidance on campaign execution, including email, social, and event marketing initiatives targeting education audiences.
- Support adoption and optimization of project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet).
Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in project or portfolio management within marketing, communications, or digital operations.
- 5+ years leading education-focused marketing campaigns (email, social, events).
- Experience managing cross-functional portfolios between marketing and education teams.
- Strong strategic planning, risk management, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Smartsheet, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace.
- Experience mentoring or consulting junior project managers.
- Experience driving adoption of project management systems across teams.
Engagement Details
- Contract term: 12 months (with potential extensions).
- Up to 20 hours per week (not to exceed 960 hours annually).
- Travel, if required, will be pre-approved and coordinated by the client.
