Senior Product Owner

I’m currently partnering with a scaling, profitable logistics technology organisation seeking a Product Owner with a QA / Designer background to join their remote UK team.

This is a role within a mature SaaS platform supporting complex, workflow-heavy operational environments. Reporting directly to the Founder, you’ll take ownership of non-structural product enhancements - translating business and client requirements into clearly defined, production-ready solutions.

Initially this will be a role working on smaller iterative changes before graduating to taking ownership of the entire product.

Someone that has come from a QA background would be ideal (combined with being able to write User Stories), or someone with a Designer skillset as some of this role will involve some manipulation of assets in Figma (20%). This being a small company, wearing multiple hats is key.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate business and client needs into structured product solutions
• Design end-to-end workflows and user journeys
• Produce functional wireframes and UI flows (Figma)
• Write detailed, developer-ready user stories with clear acceptance criteria
• Define validation rules, permissions logic, and edge cases
• Collaborate closely with engineering through build and QA
• Own backlog items from concept to release

Requirements

• Strong user story writing and systems-thinking capability
• Experience working within sprint-based development teams
• QA or Designer background
• Solid understanding of APIs, frontend/backend structures, and environments
• Confident, autonomous decision-maker with a strong ownership mindset

Experience in ERP, logistics, or workflow-driven systems is highly advantageous - and will allow you to make an immediate, meaningful impact in a business entering an exciting new phase of growth.
