Lead Data Scientist

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Lead Data Scientist to spearhead the development and optimization of cutting-edge Generative AI and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems. The successful candidate will combine deep knowledge of natural language processing (NLP) with proficiency in advanced machine learning techniques to design impactful AI-driven solutions. You will work closely with a diverse team to solve complex problems, develop scalable frameworks, and ensure the delivery of high-quality results tailored to business objectives. Responsibilities

• Lead the design, training, and deployment of state-of-the-art generative AI and RAG systems
• Utilize advanced chunking, transformation, summarization, and retrieval methods to enhance model relevance and accuracy
• Optimize prompts and apply advanced techniques such as few-shot learning and contextual embeddings for improved model output
• Develop and implement robust evaluation methodologies to benchmark and validate model performance against key metrics
• Utilize frameworks like LangChain to orchestrate workflows and build scalable, production-ready solutions
• Conduct experiments to identify and refine the most effective prompts for various business tasks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into advanced AI solutions
• Ensure systems are aligned with business needs and improve user experience through intuitive AI-driven interactions
• Maintain a proactive approach to monitoring, troubleshooting, and improving operational AI solutions
• Advocate for best practices in responsible AI, including addressing potential biases in models
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in generative AI and RAG technologies to maintain a cutting-edge team

Requirements

• Minimum of 8+ years of experience in data science and machine learning, with at least 2 years focusing on generative AI and RAG systems
• Strong knowledge of NLP techniques such as tokenization, embeddings, sequence-to-sequence modeling, and summarization
• Hands-on experience with prompt engineering, few-shot learning, and optimization techniques
• Proficiency with LLM orchestration tools such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar frameworks
• Expertise in RAG systems and retrieval integration with generative models
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R paired with experience in frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face
• Familiarity with LLM models, major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), and vector databases
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills combined with innovative thinking and attention to detail
• Effective communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences
• Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset and ability to work within diverse, cross-functional environments
