Role Description The Vice President of Fund Operations is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing end-to-end operational activities across the company’s investment and fund structures. This role leads the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of operational frameworks, including fund administration processes, cash management, reconciliations, and reporting to internal and external stakeholders. The VP will oversee P&L performance for assigned funds, partnering with finance and investment teams to ensure accurate forecasting, variance analysis, and alignment with strategic objectives. Day-to-day responsibilities include directing operational workflows, managing vendor and service provider relationships, improving customer service standards for investors and partners, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations. The role also involves leading strategic planning initiatives for fund operations, driving cross-functional projects, mentoring team members, and implementing best practices that enhance scalability and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Operations Management and Project Management skills to lead complex fund processes and initiatives.
- Candidates should possess P&L Management and Strategic Planning skills to oversee fund performance and support long-term operational strategy.
- Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to maintain high-quality relationships with investors, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Extensive experience in fund operations, asset management, private equity, or a similar investment environment.
- Proficiency with financial systems, fund administration platforms, and advanced spreadsheet and data analysis tools.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing remote teams and coordinating cross-functional workstreams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail and process discipline.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional language skills are an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field; a relevant advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CAIA) is beneficial.
