Role Description The Executive Loan Officer is a full-time, remote role responsible for guiding clients through the mortgage process from initial inquiry to closing. This position manages a pipeline of borrowers, conducts detailed needs assessments, and recommends appropriate loan products aligned with client financial goals and regulatory guidelines. Day-to-day tasks include collecting and reviewing financial documentation, running loan scenarios, preparing and presenting loan options, and coordinating with underwriting, processing, and closing teams to ensure timely approvals. The Executive Loan Officer communicates regularly with clients via phone, video, and digital channels, providing clear explanations of terms, rates, and requirements while maintaining accurate records in Rocket’s systems. This role also involves meeting performance targets, staying current with mortgage regulations and market trends, and contributing to a positive, collaborative remote work environment.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong mortgage lending and financial analysis skills, including experience evaluating borrower profiles, calculating income, and assessing credit risk.
- Candidates should possess excellent client relationship and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex loan terms clearly and provide responsive, service-oriented support.
- Candidates should possess solid sales and negotiation skills, with a track record of meeting or exceeding volume, conversion, or revenue targets in a financial services or similar environment.
- Candidates should possess proficiency with digital tools, CRM or loan origination systems, and remote collaboration platforms to manage loan pipelines and client interactions efficiently.
- Candidates should possess strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize multiple files and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Relevant qualifications include prior experience as a loan officer or in mortgage banking, familiarity with federal and state lending regulations, and applicable licensing as required by NMLS and local jurisdictions.
