For our client, we are seeking a Data Lead - Central Data Team to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a technology-driven environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $170,000 – $185,000 annually

Responsibilities

  • Own the lifecycle of your data domain, from raw data processing to ensuring product readiness
  • Build systems that enhance data quality through validation frameworks and monitoring
  • Design reusable methodologies that scale, reducing duplication across business units
  • Set analytical and technical direction in collaboration with product managers and engineering teams
  • Expand your domain by onboarding new datasets and improving integration patterns
  • Redesign analytical processes with AI to enhance data handling and accuracy
  • Mentor junior analysts and establish best practices as the team grows

Qualifications

  • 6-8+ years of experience in data analytics, preferably in financial services, management consulting, data science, or high-growth tech
  • Expert fluency in SQL and experience with Python or PySpark for building reliable analysis workflows
  • Strong ability to learn complex data methodologies and develop mental models about data systems
  • Experience leading complex projects with multiple stakeholders, focusing on alignment and delivery
  • Skill in assessing the precision required for different decisions, avoiding over- or under-investing in rigor
  • Capacity to analyze and reason about data bias and representativeness, going beyond averages
  • Detail-oriented with experience working with messy, inconsistent datasets and evolving schemas
  • Strong communication skills for articulating complex concepts and influencing cross-functional teams
