About the role
Livegage is seeking an experienced, hands-on HR & People Operations Generalist to own day-to-day People Operations for our growing organization. This is a broad Generalist role for someone who enjoys working across the employee lifecycle and is comfortable operating independently in a small, fast-moving company. The right person will manage core HR operations while helping us build, document, and strengthen the processes and infrastructure that support our team as we grow. The position reports to the Chief People Officer.
What you'll do
• Manage day-to-day People Operations and employee administration across the employee lifecycle.
• Coordinate recruiting and hiring activities, including candidate workflows, interviews, background checks, offers, and pre-employment requirements.
• Own onboarding and offboarding administration and coordinate activities across managers, IT, Finance, and other stakeholders.
• Prepare payroll information and manage timekeeping and timesheet reconciliations for final review.
• Administer routine employee benefits processes and vendor coordination.
• Maintain Form I-9 and E-Verify+ processes.
• Support employment-based immigration and work authorization administration, including tracking deadlines and documentation and coordinating with employees and outside immigration counsel.
• Support HR compliance requirements for a remote, multi-state workforce.
• Coordinate intern and contractor administration.
• Serve as a day-to-day resource for routine employee questions and appropriately escalate sensitive employee relations, compliance, and legal matters.
• Build and maintain HR SOPs, workflows, checklists, templates, trackers, and compliance calendars.
• Help develop and implement People programs and infrastructure, including performance management, recruiting processes, internship programs, and employee development and relations.
• Identify opportunities to improve and streamline HR processes, controls, and the employee experience.
What you'll bring
• 3+ years of progressive HR, People Operations, or HR Generalist experience with demonstrated ability to independently own HR processes.
• Broad, hands-on experience across recruiting, onboarding/offboarding, HR administration, payroll/timekeeping support, benefits, and compliance.
• Experience working in a small, growing, or entrepreneurial organization strongly preferred.
• Employment-based immigration/work authorization experience strongly preferred, including familiarity with F-1/CPT, OPT/STEM OPT, H-1B and/or coordination with immigration counsel.
• Multi-state HR experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, spreadsheet, process-documentation, and project management skills.
• Excellent judgment, follow-through, and communication skills.
• Experience with Gusto or a comparable HRIS/payroll platform strongly preferred.
