Role Overview We're seeking an experienced Finance professional to join as our first dedicated Finance hire and establish the financial foundation for our growing Enterprise AI company. This is a hands-on individual contributor role requiring broad financial operations expertise with deep specialization in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A). As our Finance leader, you'll be directly responsible for all financial operations while working closely with external providers for accounting, tax, and compliance. You'll leverage automation and AI-enabled tools to multiply your impact across the organization. Your primary focus will be building robust FP&A capabilities to support our sales-led growth in the enterprise AI automation market. This is not a management role - we're looking for a senior individual contributor who thrives on being hands-on and using technology to scale their effectiveness. This role reports directly to the COO and will work closely with the leadership team across all areas. Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Planning & Analysis
- Strategic Planning & Analytics: Develop comprehensive financial models, budgets, and forecasts to support business growth and strategic decision-making; create and maintain dashboards tracking key SaaS metrics
- Sales & Revenue Operations: Partner with sales leadership on pipeline health, conversion rates, deal velocity, revenue forecasting, and sales effectiveness initiatives including lead scoring optimization and win/loss analysis
- Business Operations & Resource Allocation: Lead financial evaluation of strategic initiatives, product investments, and operational improvements; develop business cases and ROI models for resource allocation decisions; support headcount planning, budget allocation across departments, and investment prioritization
- Board & Investor Reporting: Prepare monthly and quarterly financial packages for leadership team and investors
- Business Partnering: Serve as strategic finance partner to department heads, providing data-driven insights for operational decisions and driving cross-functional initiatives
Financial Operations Management
- Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with external accounting firms, tax advisors, and other financial service providers across US and Spanish jurisdictions
- Financial Controls: Establish and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures for financial operations in both entities
- Compliance Oversight: Ensure compliance with US and Spanish financial regulations, tax requirements, and audit preparations
- Consolidation: Manage monthly and quarterly consolidation processes, including intercompany eliminations and currency translation
Revenue Operations & Treasury
- Billing & Revenue Recognition: Oversee billing processes for enterprise SaaS offerings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness; manage revenue recognition policies and procedures in accordance with ASC 606; handle complex enterprise billing scenarios, contract modifications, and revenue optimization
- Treasury & AP Management: Manage banking relationships, monitor cash flow, and short-term investments; oversee accounts payable processes, vendor payments, and expense management; establish procurement policies and support vendor evaluation and contract negotiations
Required QualificationsCore Financial Expertise
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- Experience: 6-8 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 3-4 years in FP&A roles, and 3+ years of experience in B2B SaaS or enterprise software companies
- Hands-On Individual Contributor: Proven track record as a senior individual contributor who leverages automation and technology to multiply impact; comfortable being hands-on with all aspects of financial operations
- T-Profile: able to cover all aspects of financial operations with a depth in F&A
Technical Skills
- Financial Modeling: Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills with experience building complex financial models; familiarity with modern FP&A platforms (Abacum, Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, etc.)
- Analytics Tools: Proficiency with financial planning software and BI tools for data visualization and reporting
- Data Analysis: Strong analytical skills with ability to derive insights from complex datasets and automate routine analysis
Industry & International Expertise
- SaaS & Enterprise Sales: Experience with enterprise sales cycles, deal structures, and revenue forecasting, as well as deep understanding of SaaS business model and KPIs
- Scaling Multi-Jurisdictional Operations: Experience building financial operations in high-growth environments with US holding company / international subsidiary structures
- Dual Accounting Standards: Familiarity with both US GAAP and Spanish/IFRS accounting requirements
- Intercompany Management: Experience with intercompany transactions, and consolidation processes, as well as transfer pricing principles and documentation reqs
- Cross-Border Tax: Experience with international tax planning, transfer pricing documentation, and cross-border transactions
- Process Automation: Understanding of business process automation and its financial implications
- Advanced Analytics: Experience with advanced analytics, data science tools, or business intelligence platforms
