Senior Scrum Master (REMOTE!!!!)

Optomi, in partnership with a leading healthcare organization, is seeking a Senior Scrum Master/ IT Project Manager for a fully remote, 6 month contracted (with extensions) position! The IT Project Manager / Scrum Master leads delivery of major technology initiatives across the enterprise, using Agile (Scrum/SAFe) and Waterfall methods as appropriate. This role partners closely with Product, Program, Portfolio, and business stakeholders to drive execution excellence, facilitate Agile ceremonies, manage project financials, communicate status, and proactively remove risks and blockers.

What type of experience does the right candidate have:

• 7+ years of hands-on Scrum Master experience.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) (required).
• SAFe / Agile experience in enterprise environments (required).
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills across technical and business audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to push back appropriately, escalate when needed, and drive progress quickly.
• Technical aptitude and background sufficient to understand concepts and how technologies intersect.
• Strong accountability and high ethical standards.
• Experience supporting large, experienced Agile teams.

What the responsibilities are of the right candidate:

• Develop, refine, validate, and manage project plans and delivery roadmaps to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Lead and facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, demos, retrospectives, and board/delivery reviews.
• Apply project management and Scrum practices, standards, and integration techniques to coordinate internal and external resources.
• Maintain team focus, prioritization, and delivery velocity in a fast-paced environment.
• Identify, escalate, and help resolve risks, issues, blockers, and dependencies; manage issue escalation and resolution.
• Provide timely, concise communications to functional leadership regarding status, financials, risks, and pending issues; recommend actions to optimize resources and delivery outcomes.
• Build consensus among stakeholders and process leads on scope, execution approach, staffing, and issue resolution.
• Partner closely with Product Managers, Program Managers, Portfolio Management, and business stakeholders to align delivery plans and outcomes.
• Manage project financials including budget development, tracking, controls, and measurements to monitor progress.
• Work with vendors, consultants, and contractors as applicable to support delivery commitments.
• Support and/or lead Scrum of Scrums as needed.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
