Company Description
Peaceful Psychotherapy is a growing group practice dedicated to helping people heal and thrive through high-quality therapeutic care. Currently, we are a fully remote practice, meaning all of our therapists see clients virtually.
What sets us apart is that all our therapists are trained in EMDR, a groundbreaking modality that delivers incredible results in treating trauma. This focus on EMDR is a distinguishing feature of our practice, as few others provide this level of specialized care.
We’re passionate about creating a supportive and engaging work environment built around our three core values:
- Commitment to Mastery - We are dedicated to mastering our craft, with a strong emphasis on ongoing training and reflective practice to consistently enhance our service to clients and each other.
- Authentic Workplace Care - A commitment to fostering genuine relationships in the workplace, where every interaction is guided by empathy, understanding, and a sincere respect for each individual’s well-being.
- Sincere Candor - Fostering direct and honest communication because it drives growth and trust. As a feedback-open company, we embrace constructive insights to support personal and collective development.
As we scale, we’re looking for a passionate People and Operations Specialist, to help support our current People and Operations Manager.
About the Role
We’re hiring a People Operations Specialist to support and improve the daily experiences of our team—clinicians, supervisors, and staff alike. This role is perfect for someone with 1–3 years of HR generalist experience, and 1-3 years of Operations or People Operations experience in a startup environment, who also enjoys making sure people feel seen, supported, and set up for success! If you love rolling up your sleeves to solve operational challenges, working with employees to support culture initiatives, and bringing order to a fast-moving environment, this might be perfect for you! You’ll report to the People and Operations manager and work closely to ensure things keep running smoothly behind the scenes.
What You’ll DoHR Support & Employee Experience
• Assist with the onboarding and offboarding processes for clinicians and internal team members, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience. We care about our culture! Think warm intros, clear checklists, and no surprises.
• Keep employee records up to date in Rippling, making sure we maintain compliance while building a foundation of trust and clarity
• Help answer everyday questions about benefits, policies, time off, and 401(k) in a timely and helpful way.
• Support engagement surveys and culture check-ins to help us hear the voice of our team and be able to act on it!
• Assist in writing offer letters, tracking credentials and licensure, and organizing employee data in compliance with all regulations.
• Help refine policies, workflows, and documentation to align with our people-first values.
Operations & Project Support
• Use Asana to keep projects moving and organized, and track internal operations projects—from process improvements and new system launches, to onboarding updates and compliance reminders!
• Pitch in on special projects that make our culture stronger—whether that’s rolling out a new benefit, supporting a recruitment initiative, celebrating a team win, or helping migrate a system.
• Assist in rolling out and maintaining an internal ticketing system to make it easier for our team to get support whether they need a form, a fix, or just a little clarity.
• Help implement and track key people metrics like hiring timelines, onboarding experiences, and satisfaction scores to help us grow thoughtfully and intentionally.
• Help to build and maintain clear, easy-to-follow SOPs that make our internal processes smoother for everyone, from supervisors to new hires.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who’s excited to be part of a mission-driven, heart-forward team. You love creating structure, helping people feel supported, and making the behind-the-scenes work feel seamless for everyone. Here’s what makes someone a great fit for this role:
• You bring 1–3 years of experience in both HR and Operations—whether that’s been in one role or across a few. You’re comfortable toggling between people-focused tasks and process-oriented projects.
• You’ve worked in healthcare, mental health, telehealth, or a fast-growing startup, and you understand the pace, purpose, and people these spaces require.
• You’re confident navigating remote tools like Google Workspace, Rippling, and Asana, and you enjoy using technology to stay organized and keep everyone on the same page.
• You’re naturally organized and love finding ways to make things run smoother—whether it’s streamlining a workflow or creating a new checklist that actually makes life easier.
• You’re a strong communicator who brings a human-first mindset to everything you do. You care deeply about supporting others and creating clarity in the day-to-day.
• Experience with HIPAA, mental health credentialing, or clinician operations is a plus, but not required—we’re happy to support you in learning the ropes.
Vision for the Future: Peaceful Psychotherapy is on an ambitious growth trajectory, having 5x’ed our revenue last year, with plans to double this year. We’re committed to driving innovation in therapy, exploring and implementing techniques like EMDR and various brain-based therapies that are not yet widely utilized. We aim to elevate our clinical practices by incorporating evidence-based methods such as therapists reviewing recordings of their sessions and receiving regular feedback, as research shows this is critical for professional development and client outcomes.
We’re also envisioning the rollout of an online dashboard for clients, offering them unique and creative ways to track their progress and growth. This will not only enhance the therapeutic experience but also set a new standard for client engagement in the field. As part of our leadership team, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and executing this vision.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary: $55,000 per year
- PTO: One week paid time off
