Lead Machine Learning Engineer

• Remote, based in the UK or Europe
• inside IR35
• Duration – 6-12 months
• Rates - £500 - £650pday based on experience.

A Great client of mine in the Cloud Engineering space, is looking for Senior & Lead ML Engineers, to join them on an initial 6-12 month contract.

Role - Machine Learning Engineer

• Lead the design and prototyping of ML models for things like recommendations, personalization, and predictions.
• Dig into data, pick the right features, and help teams make smarter product decisions.
• Own the full ML pipeline from breaking down tasks to testing models and making sure they hold up in production.
• Set up solid systems to monitor, tune, and optimize models after they’re live.
• Build and maintain data pipelines for training and evaluation.
• Design A/B tests to measure model impact on key metrics.
• Work closely with product and engineering to define problems and deliver practical AI-powered solutions.
• Share your knowledge, mentor others, and stay up to speed on ML trends.

Skills - Machine Learning Engineer

You’ve probably done this kind of work before and know how to make it count in production.

• 5+ years ML experience
• Strong understanding of algorithms
• Track record in recommender systems, NLP, or search
• Great Python skills
• Comfortable with tools like Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch
• Experience with data storage (SQL, NoSQL, etc.)
• Familiar with large-scale processing (Spark, Beam, Flink)
• Know when to batch vs stream
• Cloud experience (GCP or similar)
• Hands-on with ML deployment at scale
• Clear communicator & team player
