Customer Service Representative - Empire

2. About the Opportunity:

The Customer Service Representative role is designed to support customers by addressing their inquiries and guiding them through their health benefit options. This position is critical in helping customers understand and maximize their health plans, serving as an advocate and resource. The role contributes directly to improving customer experience and facilitating access to care.

3. Responsibilities:

• Respond to and resolve customer service inquiries on first call, including benefits, eligibility, claims, and financial accounts

• Educate customers on consumer-driven health care and assist in selecting appropriate benefit plans

• Contact care providers to assist with appointment scheduling and specialist connections

• Guide customers in using online tools to become self-sufficient

4. Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience

• Minimum 18 years of age

• At least 2 years of customer service or relevant problem-solving experience

• Ability to handle high call volumes (50 - 70 daily) with full attention

• Proficiency with Windows PC applications and ability to learn complex systems

• Availability to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 7:50 am - 4:35 pm EST, with occasional overtime

• Reside in New York State and maintain a secure, private, and dedicated remote workspace

• Access to a wired high-speed internet connection meeting specified speed requirements

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• Hourly pay ranges from $16 to $29 based on experience and other factors

• Compensation includes a comprehensive benefits package, incentive programs, equity stock purchase, and 401(k) contributions, subject to eligibility
