What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

  • Provide efficient and accurate responses to inquiries from external customers and internal team members regarding health plan benefits
  • Educate customers on drug formulary guidelines and alternatives, including prior authorization criteria
  • Collaborate with internal and external resources to ensure timely completion of coverage determination requests
  • Recognize and resolve customer concerns, grievances, and appeal rights
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all service interactions with customers

What Is Required (Qualifications)

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of relevant experience in customer-facing roles, such as customer service or high-volume call center
  • 1 year of relevant experience as a pharmacy technician or in pharmacy billing/claim adjudication
  • Must maintain CPhT certification through continuing education
  • Availability to adhere to established work schedules and guidelines

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Associate's degree
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPHT) certification from PTCB upon hire
  • State of Michigan Pharmacy Technician license upon hire
