Marketing AssociateAbout the RoleThe Retail AI Council retailer-led membership organization with a mission to help retailers and the retail industry leverage the transformative potential of AI. We're looking for a Marketing Associate to join our small, fast-moving marketing team. This is a hands-on execution role for someone with 1–3 years of social/content marketing experience who is comfortable creating content at scale. We are growing quickly and looking for someone who can hit the ground running.You'll work closely with and report directly to the Marketing Manager, who is shifting focus toward event strategy and execution. This role is core to keeping our content, sponsor deliverables, and community programs running smoothly.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESContent Production
- Design, draft and schedule daily LinkedIn organic content in collaboration with the Marketing Manager, leaning heavily on ongoing event promotion and community content
- Maintain a content calendar that keeps daily posting consistent, on-brand, and aligned with event and campaign timing via Jira
- Produce event promotion content across the pre-event, day-of, and post-event lifecycle, plus ongoing community-building content between events
- Independently gather information for sponsor-related content, and produce case studies, blog posts, and video content from that material
- Produce webinar content and supporting materials, including LinkedIn ads, carousel posts, speaker intro posts, and post-event recap content, in coordination with the Marketing Manager's webinar logistics
- Design supporting creative assets in Canva, maintaining visual consistency with existing brand materialsCommunity & Member Engagement
- Independently research and conduct outreach for member spotlights, then draft the resulting content across newsletter, blog posts, LinkedIn, and YouTube
- Coordinate with Council committees to assist in leveraging thought-leadership style content and initiatives supporting constituents
- Support Project .ORG (The Council's nonprofit transition) with community-facing content and research
- Run the weekly media scan: monitor relevant outlets for coverage of Council members and compile findings for internal visibility and content creationPartnerships, Events, & Trade Show Marketing
- Support event marketing needs including invitations, promotional assets, and scheduling posts/emails
- Maintain organized content libraries, templates, and asset folders for ongoing use
- Track partnership and sponsorship deliverables (e.g., contracted conference mentions, promotional commitments) and ensure they're fulfilled on schedule
- Coordinate promotional assets for partner and trade show channels, aligning with external event organizers' timelines and requirements
- Support pre-show and post-show marketing for trade show appearances, including announcements, visibility content, and attendee engagement materials
- Track deadlines across partner deliverables, editorial calendars, and promotional windowsWebsite
- Maintain and update the Council website (built on Wix), including event pages, member/sponsor updates, and general content refreshes
- Monitor site performance and flag or correct outdated informationWhat We're Looking For
- 1–3 years of experience in social media or content marketing, ideally with LinkedIn content creation
- Strong writing skills and comfort adapting tone across channels
- Experience drafting and scheduling content (LinkedIn or similar platforms)
- Hands-on experience with WIX, MailChimp, Canva, Salesforce, and Luma (or similar).
- Detail-oriented, especially around deliverable tracking and deadlines for multiple projects at once
- Team-player, open to taking direction while also bringing ideas to the table
- Bonus: familiarity with retail/DTC, B2B, membership or non-profit organizations, or event marketingENGAGEMENT DETAILS
- Work hours are 8:30am – 5:30pm ET. Candidates in this time zone are preferred
- Comfortable working independently in a remote setting
- Occasional travel for assistance with conference booths and event production
