Finance Project Manager

Robert Half is partnering with a growing organisation to recruit an Interim Finance Project Manager to lead the implementation of Sage Intacct, acting as the crucial link between the systems integrator and the internal finance team. This is a high-impact, hands-on assignment where you’ll ensure the new ERP system is delivered to meet the business’s financial and operational needs.

This is a remote-first contract role, though office presence in the Midlands may be required for key project phases. The project is expected to run for 18 Months.

The Role

You will take ownership of the Sage Intacct implementation, working closely with both external partners and the internal finance team to ensure a successful roll-out. Acting as the voice of finance within the project, you’ll be responsible for shaping how the system is configured, tested, and embedded – making sure it delivers practical value to the users and drives long-term process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact between the systems integrator and internal stakeholders
• Lead workshops to gather requirements from the finance team and translate them into system specifications
• Project manage the Sage Intacct implementation from planning through to go-live and stabilisation
• Support data migration, UAT, and reporting configuration
• Ensure the ERP system is fit for purpose and aligned to the needs of the finance function
• Identify risks, manage timelines, and maintain clear project documentation
• Train and support users post-implementation to drive adoption and best practice
• Track and report on project progress to senior leadership

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a finance professional who has led or played a key role in ERP implementations, specifically with Sage Intacct. You’ll be confident managing stakeholders, interpreting finance requirements, and translating them into actionable project steps.

• A qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or equivalent finance experience
• Proven experience delivering or supporting an ERP implementation project
• Hands-on experience with Sage Intacct is essential
• Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment
