Branding and design agency | fully remote uk based

We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic and ambitious junior designer to join our growing branding and design agency and help increase capacity across the studio.

This is an opportunity for an entry level to early career designer with 0 to 3 years’ experience who is keen to develop their skills by working closely with senior creative staff on a wide range of ambitious and innovative projects across multiple sectors.

You will be an integral part of a small, close knit, fully remote team, collaborating day to day with the senior designer and managing director. You will gain exposure to real client work from the outset, contributing to campaigns and projects that span brand, digital, print, social and motion.

The role

As a junior designer, you will support the creative team throughout the full lifecycle of projects, from early concepts through to final delivery.

You will be encouraged to contribute ideas, develop your craft, and build confidence across typography, layout, visual identity, animation and art direction, while receiving regular feedback, guidance and mentoring from more experienced designers.

Although this is a junior role, it comes with real responsibility and client exposure. You will be expected to communicate clearly, manage your time effectively, and take pride in producing thoughtful, high quality design work.

Typical responsibilities

  • Responsibilities will vary depending on the project, but are likely to include:
  • Contributing ideas and visual thinking in creative meetings
  • Producing attractive, effective design work across digital and print media
  • Supporting the development of branding, campaigns and marketing materials
  • Preparing artwork and assets for delivery across different platforms
  • Working closely with senior team members to receive feedback and iterate work
  • Joining internal and client calls with camera on to understand briefs and feedback
  • Liaising with colleagues to ensure work is delivered accurately and on time
  • Supporting social media and digital content where appropriate
  • Helping maintain consistency and quality across all outputs

Skills and experience

We are looking for someone with strong foundations and a desire to learn.

Essential:

  • BA hons in graphic design or equivalent degree
  • 0 to 3 years’ experience in a design role, placement, internship or relevant education
  • A solid understanding of design principles, including layout, typography and composition
  • Confidence using adobe creative suite, particularly indesign, illustrator, photoshop, after effects, premiere and xd or figma
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A positive, collaborative attitude and willingness to learn
  • Good organisation and the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • The ability to take feedback on board and apply it constructively
  • A high level of attention to detail and pride in your work

Desirable:

  • Some experience working in a branding or design agency environment
  • Exposure to motion, animation or digital design
  • An interest in keeping up with current design trends and best practice

Remote working and collaboration

  • This is a fully remote role, as we do not operate from a physical studio.
  • You must be uk based.
  • You will be expected to communicate clearly via microsoft teams chat and calls, join client and internal calls with your camera on, work independently and manage your time effectively, and work independently with regular check ins and ongoing support.
  • While you will be trusted to organise your workload, you will not be left to figure things out alone. Support, guidance and feedback are a core part of how we work.

Working hours

Full time

Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm

A degree of flexibility may be required from time to time to support project delivery

Salary

  • Salary £25,000 per annum
  • Pension employer pension scheme via the people’s pension
  • Holiday entitlement 28 days per annum, including uk bank holidays
