About the Role: The Senior Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) is responsible for leading budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and strategic analysis activities. This role partners with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and drive business performance. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with business acumen and leadership capabilities. Ability to communicate effectively & be able to work with respective teams in the establishment of targets and goals. This role reports to the Chief Financial Officer. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes across all departments.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages, including variance analysis against budget and prior periods.
  • Develop financial models and analysis to support strategic initiatives, business cases, and investment decisions.
  • Partner with department heads to evaluate financial performance and identify areas for cost optimization and revenue growth.
  • Conduct scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to assess financial risks and opportunities.
  • Monitor KPIs and provide actionable insights to leadership.
  • Ensure data integrity across financial systems and reports.
  • Drive continuous improvement in FP&A processes, tools, and reporting capabilities.
  • Manage and mentor junior analysts, providing guidance and professional development.
  • Collaborate with accounting to ensure accuracy in financial results and alignment on key reporting metrics.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA is a plus.
  • 6–10 years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or similar roles.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with financial systems (e.g., Planful, Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, Hyperion, SAP, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Planful preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in tech, healthcare, life science manufacturing companies.
  • Knowledge of BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Leadership experience with direct reports.
