Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced SAP FICO Data Migration Consultant to support SAP Finance data migration activities as part of an SAP transformation / implementation programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing, cleansing, mapping, transforming and migrating financial data from legacy systems into SAP. The role requires strong hands-on experience across SAP FI/CO, data migration methodologies and migration tools, with the ability to work closely with Finance, Business, Functional and Technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support SAP FICO data migration activities from legacy systems to SAP.
- Analyse legacy financial data and identify data quality, completeness and consistency issues.
- Define and maintain data mapping and transformation rules between legacy systems and SAP.
- Support extraction, cleansing, transformation and loading of financial master and transactional data.
- Work with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and resolve migration issues.
- Prepare migration templates and data upload files.
- Perform data reconciliation between legacy systems and SAP.
- Support multiple mock migration / mock conversion cycles and final cutover.
- Investigate and resolve data migration errors and reconciliation issues.
- Work closely with SAP FICO functional consultants, technical teams and data owners.
- Prepare migration status reports, issue logs and reconciliation reports.
- Support SIT, UAT, cutover and hypercare activities.
- Ensure migrated data meets agreed quality, control and audit requirements.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience as an SAP FICO Consultant / SAP Finance Data Migration Consultant.
- Solid knowledge of SAP FI and CO modules.
- Proven experience in SAP data migration projects.
- Strong understanding of financial master data and transactional data.
- Experience with data extraction, transformation, cleansing, mapping and reconciliation.
- Experience working with SAP S/4HANA migration programmes.
- Strong understanding of SAP FICO integration with other modules such as MM, SD and CO.
- Experience with data validation and financial reconciliation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with both technical and business stakeholders.
Desirable
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA transformation / greenfield / brownfield implementations.
- Experience with SAP Activate methodology.
- Experience supporting global SAP rollouts.
- Previous experience with large-scale finance data migration.
- Knowledge of SAP Central Finance is advantageous.
- Experience with cutover planning and execution.
- Experience in regulated industries such as Pharma, Banking, Manufacturing or Life Sciences is beneficial.
