🌎 About the Role:
As part of our international expansion, we’re looking for a Business Developer based in North America to represent Star Moldes and grow our customer base across the region.
You’ll be our local point of contact, developing new business opportunities, building strong relationships with manufacturers and injectors, and identifying mould projects for plastic injection across key industries.
💼 Key Responsibilities:
🔹 Prospect and develop new customers within the moulds and plastic injection industry in the U.S. and Canada.
🔹 Identify potential projects requiring mould design and manufacturing, liaising with our engineering team in Portugal.
🔹 Represent Star Moldes at trade fairs, networking events, and industry meetings.
🔹 Manage the sales cycle, from initial contact and technical briefings to quotation and deal closure.
🔹 Maintain long-term client relationships through trust, responsiveness, and technical understanding.
🔹 Provide market feedback and business development reports to management.
🧩 Requirements:
✅ Based in the U.S. or Canada with valid working authorization.
✅ Proven experience in technical sales or business development, ideally in moulds, tooling, injection moulding, or plastics manufacturing.
✅ Strong network within manufacturing or product development sectors.
✅ Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
✅ Self-motivated, autonomous, and results-driven.
✅ Technical understanding of mould design or plastic injection processes (preferred).
