Animator - Contract

Join a dynamic mobile gaming team focused on delivering engaging social casino experiences to a global audience. As a Freelance Animator specializing in game backgrounds, you will play a key role in producing high-quality animated environments for slot games. This full-time, production-driven position requires a strong ability to create visually compelling reel backgrounds and environments that enhance gameplay and user engagement. You will collaborate with a remote, English-speaking team and contribute to a fast-paced pipeline where consistency and execution are highly valued. Responsibilities

• Design and animate 2D backgrounds and environments for social casino slot games using Spine and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Produce multiple polished backgrounds daily, maintaining high standards of quality and creativity.
• Collaborate with game designers and developers to ensure seamless integration of backgrounds with game mechanics and UI/UX.
• Adapt to evolving project requirements and deliver assets on schedule in a production-focused environment.
• Participate in design and animation tests as part of the hiring process to demonstrate technical and creative skills.
• Communicate effectively with a remote team, providing updates and feedback in English.

Skills And Requirements

• Proven experience as a 2D animator or background artist in the mobile gaming industry, preferably with social casino or slot games.
• Advanced proficiency in Spine for animation and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects).
• Strong understanding of game UI, UX, and mobile-first design principles.
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, deadline-driven production environment.
• Excellent communication skills in English and experience collaborating with remote teams.
• Strong portfolio showcasing relevant game background and animation work.
• Availability for a full-time contract position.
