Role Purpose:
Lead and execute the sales and marketing strategy for the company’s Rubber Blacks portfolio across Europe, with a focus on expanding market share and establishing the brand as a preferred partner for major rubber and tyre manufacturers.
This is an individual contributor role requiring strong business development skills, deep technical understanding of rubber blacks, and the ability to drive strategic partnerships in the European market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve sales and profitability targets for assigned regions.
- Identify, engage, and develop new B2B customers in the rubber and carbon black industries.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, OEMs, and key accounts.
- Collaborate with technical teams for product development and customer support.
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and product launches to inform strategy.
- Prepare periodic sales reports, forecasts, and market intelligence updates.
- Manage logistics coordination, collections, and documentation (LC, invoicing, etc.).
- Represent the company at trade fairs, client visits, and industry events.
- Support senior management during European market visits and reviews.
Candidate Profile:Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Chemical preferred)
- MBA in Marketing or equivalent specialisation
Experience & Skills:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in technical B2B sales or business development.
- Proven success in rubber chemicals/carbon black/polymer/tyre industry.
- Strong understanding of rubber black grades, applications, and performance properties.
- Demonstrated ability to grow markets and manage international customer relationships.
- Excellent communication and networking skills across European markets.
- Proficiency in English plus at least one additional European language (German, French, or Dutch preferred).
- Willingness to travel extensively across Europe.
Additional Details:
- Candidates may be based anywhere in Germany or Belgium.
- Remote working setup with customer visits as required.
- Three-round interview process.
- EU citizenship or a valid EU work authorisation is required.
