Role Description The Director of Business Development is a full-time, remote role responsible for driving strategic growth and revenue for Fintech Frontier. This role involves identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building partnerships with organizations in the fintech ecosystem, and expanding the platform’s presence in target markets. The Director will oversee the development and execution of business plans, manage a pipeline of leads, and coordinate with internal teams to align commercial initiatives with editorial and product strategies. Daily activities include prospecting and lead generation, leading client meetings and pitches, negotiating and closing commercial agreements, and maintaining strong relationships with key accounts and partners. The role also requires monitoring market trends, refining value propositions, and reporting on business development performance to senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated expertise in New Business Development and Lead Generation, with the ability to identify, qualify, and convert opportunities into sustainable partnerships.
  • Strong skills in Business Planning, including market analysis, revenue forecasting, and developing go-to-market strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Proficiency in Contract Negotiation, with experience structuring, negotiating, and finalizing commercial agreements and partnerships.
  • Solid Account Management capabilities, including onboarding partners, managing ongoing relationships, and driving account growth and retention.
  • Experience in fintech, digital media, or technology-focused businesses, with an understanding of industry trends and key stakeholder needs.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-functional environment.
  • Proven track record in strategic sales or business development leadership roles, preferably at the director level or equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
