The Events & Tradeshow Manager will lead the strategy, planning, and execution of Zonar’s event marketing initiatives — including the company’s annual customer conference, Zonar Together, and participation in key tradeshows, conferences, and partner events. This role blends creative event design with operational excellence to drive customer engagement, brand visibility, and measurable business impact in the B2B SaaS / telematics space.
The ideal candidate is a highly organized, results-driven professional who thrives on building experiences that connect people, elevate the brand and drive growth.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive annual event strategy that aligns with Zonar’s marketing, sales, and customer success goals.
- Own the end-to-end planning and management of Zonar Together, including venue selection, communications, content coordination, sponsorships, logistics, registration and attendee experience.
- Identify and evaluate tradeshow and sponsorship opportunities that support Zonar’s ICPs, lead generation, partner engagement and brand awareness.
- Develop event budgets, track spend and ensure ROI alignment for all activities.
- Lead logistics for all events including contracts, shipping, booth design, AV, catering and vendor management.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to create engaging, on-brand booth experiences and conference activations.
- Oversee production of all event materials — signage, giveaways, presentations, digital assets and pre/post-show communications.
- Manage event registration platforms and event tech integrations (lead collection, CRM, marketing automation and analytics tools).
- Coordinate staffing, training and briefing for on-site teams.
- Work closely with sales, product, product marketing, and customer success teams to ensure consistent messaging, demos and engagement strategies.
- Partner with the growth marketing and content and design team to create event-specific campaigns and storytelling.
- Serve as the primary liaison for leadership participation, keynote prep and customer speaker management for Zonar Together.
- Track key performance metrics such as leads, pipeline contribution, attendance, engagement, and customer satisfaction.
- Produce detailed post-event reports with insights and recommendations for future optimization.
- Maintain a master calendar of all events and coordinate across departments to avoid conflicts and maximize impact.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience planning and managing large-scale B2B events and tradeshows, ideally in SaaS or technology.
- Proven success leading corporate conferences or user/customer events (500+ attendees).
- Strong project management, budgeting, and vendor negotiation skills.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in event and marketing tools such as Cvent, Asana, HubSpot and Salesforce.
- Ability to travel 25%, as needed.
Preferred:
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in a high-growth SaaS environment.
- Understanding of event analytics, ROI measurement, and data-driven marketing.
